Pool water

My uncle has a dachshund pup of about 4 months old. Recently he has taken to swimming in the pool and ends up swallowing a lot of chlorinated water. They are a concerned about this. Will the water have any effect on him?

from my experience at work, just some diarreha. Vomitting if it was done on an empty stomach
