Yes, you will find details on how to do that in the article "Cats and Dogs" at the link with my signature below. The titles of the articles are in alphabetical order, so just scroll down to find it that way.

One thing that can make a big difference is giving the cat it's own private, dog-free space. I have 4 cats and two chi's and one room is set aside as the "cat room". There is a gate up and they have food, toys and beds in there for when they want to be alone. Eventually, most cats will assert themselves and give the chi a good whack, which tends to make them think twice before the harassment. I also taught my boys a "leave the kitty" command for when they're getting to be too much. I taught them like anything else, got their attention, said the command and gave a treat. Andre will always stop when told, but he has a disappointed look on his face every time. After a year and a half, they've all settled into a routine with the dogs knowing which cats they can mess with (Beans always runs and is the chasing cat, Kuma is the friendly cat who plays with them sometimes, Macaroni hits for no reason and Bubba doesn't take any BS!) and which they can't. Good luck!
