Amercian Bulldog nose bleeds

I have a 9 yr. old AB and he has had nose bleeds. had him into vet and had x-rays and a rhino. done. they found something in nostril had it bio. and came back as not-cancer.So now they seem to think it may be some form of rare allergy. ( not quite sure of the name, but will find out mon.) Well they put him on prednisone, and the nose bleeds have almost stopped. well what im asking is if anyone has ever experinced this or has any info for me. Can't really say for sure... I don't have AB's nor have I run into this with my own dogs. What you can ask your vet though depending on the dosage of the pred is using caution when you stop using it. It should not be stopped immediately but over the course of a few days. Again it all depends on the dosage. It's a wonderful drug when used correctly but can lead to problems with the kidneys and adreneal glands when used incorrectly.
