Well my wc dakay is coming up on his first shed in captivity, i can tell because he now has the glazed eye thing. I have a rock and repti carpet in the tank now, the carpet is the substate.....Do i need anything more to let him shed, and how long will it take?, and also will he eat when he has glazed eyes.
Any help appreciated

P.S. this is him a day after i got him.
Just make sure it's nice and humid in the cage so he can get the skin off cleanly, and not in chunks that stick to him.

Did you read my reply below? It's illegal to collect herps in Ontario without a small game hunting license, so I wouldn't be posting about this 'crime' on a public forum if I were you.
And is there an abundance of Dekayi in your area? Because most herp populations out in Ontario aren't very big, and I've been told taking even one or two animals from the wild can have an effect. Just my two cents...

well he has shed and there is a huge amount of these guys from what i have seen. the skin came off cleanly and in one piece....And i will get more pics eventually
