a new friend

hippiedave Feb 14, 2008 10:59 AM

10 years ago my bro saved a malamute (brandy) from the pound, she was a good friend and mentour to my gsd puppy(jenna). she looked up to her,and sought her advice on everything, and brandy tought her well. In sep 07 brandy passed, and will be very missed by all-jenna still looks for her- BUT- a new ray of sunshine! after a couple of months, I took my brother to the same pound and said " let's save a new friend today! " when we got there I was a bit shocked to find very fue big dogs, all pit's of some origin, and not up for adoption ( that a whole other conversaion! ), but in the last cage was this thin 1 year old akita mix named ( willo ), I said " Jason, come over here and look at this one!" and the rest, well you know- a new friend! and now the roles have changed- willo, looks to jenna the same way jenna would look to brandy, with that, did I do it right look on her face, and I makes me very happy! peace to all

Awwwwww, that's wonderful that you gave Willo a new lease on life. Now Jenna has a new friend.

What a great story! Willo will think she found heaven now that she's got a new home. Enjoy your new friend and post pictures when you can. I love the norhtern breeds. They have such a dignified way about them.

What a terrific story! Thank you for sharing it with us. We would also like to read followups of Jenna and Wilo. Maybe even a picture or two. Very nice having you here!
