I just got a 10 1/2 month old Standard Poodle, a black male, from an assistance dog organization. I will be completing his assistance dog training for him to become my new assistance dog. His name is Worthy. I am in love--of course!
Would anyone like to talk about Poodles as working dogs, for various jobs including assistance work? Can anyone direct me to some sites where I can soak up more information?
I have been around Poodles some, and admire them greatly. I never thought I would have one! But it makes perfect sense for my assistance dog need, and he is just wonderful. I know that is common for Poodles, and I know they have proven their intelligence and stability over and over. I'd love to read more about it!
