Looking for dog food recommendation that would be easy to digest and reduce gas. We have tried Nutro Max-lamb rice & Pro Plan Lamb/Rice.

I'm thinking Wellness since its alot of natural products, no by products, no wheat & no soy. All of which I heard can cause gas and harder to digest.

Any suggestions welcome!
Its really smelly stuff and she is 1 1/2 years old girl. And recently my 11 month old Akita is also starting to get gasy. No smelly's yet just vocal <G> Sorry its really tough when I have company!

My dog has never had trouble with gas, so I can't be much help here, but I do feed Wellness and have been happy with it. It's a quality food.

Hey Cheri! Good seeing you again! I have had my three Shibas on Wellness Simple Food Solutions for about 5 years now and the dogs are doing great. I switched to this brand from another Wellness brand because of my female Shiba's allergies. For that it's been terrific and best yet the boys do just as well on it also. Hi Bob!!
Yeah I'm floating around again now with the holidays behind us its nice to have time to play more.

I check out the whole wellness line and stopped in store today and decided to go with the Fish/sweet potatoe line. That is actually what wellness recommended after told them of our gas troubles <G> . I have used the cat food line for years and have been happy with it. I also check out the Simple Line but I was concerned that their first ingredient was Rice. Which may be good with allergy's. I'm not sure if we have an allergy or just a digestion problem becuase of protein,wheat and the ugly by products no matter what food you get. Thats why I like the Wellness NO BY Products.

So its going to take some time but we have switched to all wellness canned, dry & treats.
I'll keep ya posted when we have nice clean air to breath and free to invite company over!!

Cheri, the Fish/Sweet Potato is what I first had the dogs on. I can't remember what was in at the moment but there was something that Toshi was allergic to and that is why I switched. I also compliment the dry food in the morning with the 95% Wellness canned food which is grain free and they like this food as well...though I only buy the beef, venison and salmon varieties.
Anyway of course I remember you! Your Shelby still shines on the Akita board. I'm thrilled to read that Shyann is doing so well. You'll have to post a few updates and a picture or two wouldn't hurt either! lol

Well we started with the dry and plan to introduce the can also since my girls are spoiled with their dinner to get a bit of can also. They eat much faster than just grazing on the dry.
I'm kinda nervous to see what the can food runs $$$. But if the gas is better its worth it.

I will work on the photo thing. Its been a while since I've taken photo's (very bad). Shyann will be a year old next month!
She is now in the process of earning her CGC and plan on Visiting Therapy work with her this spring. She can join her sister and brighten peoples day!

Glad to hear that you too are happy with the Wellness. As long as we don't have an allergy it sure sounds like a great choice of food.

Hay something to give a try for you're self. When I first went to wellness website and expressed an interest in their food I asked if they had any coupons to get me started and today I received a $5 dollar coupon in the mail.

Should help us out on trying the canned food now.
Every dollar helps!
