My BC has been taught many manners and is good at sitting either when asked or when he knows he should, but one problem is just when we think its safe after he's sitting to pat him, he will surprise us by suddenly "boinging" - like a spring and "kisses us in the face". He hurts sometimes as he can be rough. He did this once to my niece and her head was thrown back. I've tried all positive things and have now started saying "no jumps", but he just surprised my sister last night by doing this to her. Is this a BC trait, as my other past breeds have never done this, but they weren't a highly active breed like BCs. How can I get him to stop this.
