Cleaning stick for terruim....

I recentley picked up a new tokay gecko and would like to add some branches and sticks to his tank.I found a couople nice branches at a local park Im just not sure how to clean them so they are safe for my tank.I remeber hearing i can bake them but Im not sure how to do this.Any advice would be great THANKS

2 ways.

Method 1, The Bucket: Basically involves a bucket with a lot of very hot water (100 C ). Insert log into water, let it soak. Done.

Method 2, The Oven: Heat up the oven to 350-450 F. Wrap log with foil (to prevent burning). Insert log into oven. Done.
