Hi right back to you. It's always nice to see new folks join us. Are you looking for a smaller dog or a larger one or doesn't it make any difference? If you don't have a breed in mind, it can be s a difficult choice to make. Perhaps you can read through some of the posts on the boards. It may help you make up your mind. I have a Shih Tzu. Perhaps you can come to the Shih Tzu Board and see if that might be a breed for you. We would be very happy to answer any of your questions.

Something mid-sized, not a toy or Great Dane.

What characteristics would you like other than size? Activity level, grooming requirements? Shedding issues? Exercise needs? There are a lot of knowledgable people here- hopefully we can help in some capacity in your choice.

If you can schedule grooming visits with a good professional groomer, a Poodle would be a great choice--including the choice of Toy, Miniature or Standard (large size)!
