squamous cell carcinoma

agilityrulz Mar 08, 2008 04:11 PM

I took my 7 1/2 yr old dog into the vet last week for what I thought was an abscessed tooth, and the vet said "that doesn't look good, I want to do a tissue biopsy". Long story short, he thinks it is a squamous cell carcinoma. Anybody have experiences with this type of cancer, and is there anything I can do for my dog holistically? Thanks!

Stop all carbohydrates, including sall dry food and biscuits. Feed a meat and bone diet, along with cottage cheese and fish or flax seed oil. Give weekly shots of Vit A and D. Supplement with turmeric, immune stimulating mushrooms, and Vit. D. Use diluted bloodroot to flush the gums several times a day.
