Homeopathy & Heartworms

Hello
I just came from the Vet. She told me that my 12yr old Border Collie has Heartworms. I took her off heartguard for the winter and the guilt is killing me. The vet said that 12yrs may could be too old for the treatment and told me it would be best to do nothing. I was surfing for alternative treatments and found this forum. Are you familiar with this site? -- http://www.banditsbuddies.com/faqs.shtml - It outlines an herbal treatment using Artemisia (wormwood and mugwort), CoQ10, HSII, and Black Walnut. Could this treatment be effective? I also read on your site about Nosode's and Vitamin C. I can get The Solid Gold Vitamin C supplement locally, I feed her Solid Gold Hund-a-Flocken; but, I have no source for Nosode's. There is no Holistic Vet within 300 miles. Are they available by mail? Could I have a better chance of success by using herbs, vitamins and nosode's combined?
Thank you for your help.................Mike

Black walnut and wormwood are useful against parasites; the HSII I am not familiar with. The treatment I use consists of Heartworm Nosode, Levamisol, and Vitamins C and K. This treatment is mild, but very effective. It does require that the dog be checked frequently for progress.

Dr. Tobin
Thank you for the quick reply
Supervision by a Holistic Vet is not an option in my case. I will be on my own. Is your treatment program available by mail?
I have found a few mail-order sources for Nosode¡¯s. Are you able to suggest a vendor? Also what potency / dosage would you advise?
