My 15yr old daughter is having so many uncontrolled seizures. We have tried everything. I have been interested ina seizure response dog. The question I have is my daughter is severley mentally handicap she would never hold his leash, doesnt talk so could never make a command. Could she still qualify to get one?
There is an adult with her at all times except when she is sleeping. Her seizures have gotten so bad she becomes paryalized on her left side and has lost 30lbs. I cant bear to see her turn blue and gasp for air anymore. Any advice will be truly gratefull.

It sounds like a situation where the dog and a parent would be trained to work together for the child's benefit. I do believe they do some cases like this now.
