I have rescued a 7 week old puppy. She was the runt & mommy pushed her out at less than 3 weeks. She has been sleeping a lot as puppies do, but she generally has play time, too. Today, however, she just sleeps. Is this a growth spurt thing?

I think it's a normal part of being a puppy. She is very young and it doesn't take much for her to become over stimulated. Puppies need a lot of rest and there should be a balance between playtime and naptime.

It can be just a "lazy day" but make sure she returns to a more normal schedule tomorrow. If not, get her to a vet ASAP.
