I just got a Corgi male that his master died. He has taken to me very well. I want to take him to Obendience training and work with him. His class starts July 21 and wife thinks he too old for this. He just a super nice dog that I love working with. We have 4 dogs now and they get along very well.

Yes, definitely take him to obedience classes--it will enhance both your communication and your bond with him. Keep an eye on him for the Sit, and consider ommitting it if it appears to cause him discomfort. Also, I would not recommend any jumping. Doing that at his age would be likely to accelerate arthritis, and he would also be high risk of injury due to his structure. There's plenty you can do while keeping those busy feeties of his on the ground!
