I would like to ask Dr TOBIN ABOUT MY TOY POODLE 7 LB PRONE TO UTI'S HAS ALWAYS HAD INTESTINAL ISSUES EATS SCIENCE DIET I/D GETS THE RUNS EASILY IS ONCE AGAIN SHOWING SIGNS OF A UTI WHAT CAN WE DO TO AVOID SURGERY? LOOKING FOR HOLISTIC ANSWERS MUCH APPRECIATED VERY FUSSY EATER

First, give her a probiotic at each meal, along with a capsule of Slippery Elm Bark. Next, give her cheap hamburger instead of the i/d, adding water and salt to it to induce her to drink more. Then, add 1/8 tsp of d-mannose to the food at each meal. Continue this until all has normalized.

I looked up d-mannose online after reading about it in the response from Dr. Tobin. It sounds great!!!
