Wait at lleast two years between acquiring new dogs. Use the time to let the pup mature and to train her exactly the way you want her to be, as much as you can. Then if you get another dog, you will have a head start on training him.
Male Chihuahuas are more difficult to housetrain than females. In fact, if left intact for breeding, he may never stop urine-marking around the house.
Breeding changes a female dog, both her health and her temperament, sometimes in bad ways. And with tiny dogs like Chihuahuas, breeding can more easily result in her death. Do a lot of research before you decide to breed. You might lose the temperament or even the life of that sweet girl.

Congrats on the new Chihuahua, but please don't breed unless you have your dogs evaluated by judges by showing them to their championships and knowing the standard of the Chihuahua breed very well. Only dogs that are excellent examples of their breed should be bred. There are far too many so called backyard breeders that just breed any dog regardless of what they look like or their temperament or health problems.

I'm going to agree with what the other posters posted- getting a male dog as a mate for a female dog to have puppies and a "friend" really is not the best idea in the world. Great breeders who are breeding for the advancement of a breed rarely even have the best matching stud dog for their female living with them. Also, Chis are very fragile dogs and you really are risking the life of your girl if you breed her.
A much better scenario, if you want another dog, is to alter your girl (altered dogs get along so much better than intact ones), and find an adult male neutered chi in rescue that needs a new home. Chis do come into rescue every so often and there are a LOT of chi mixes out there searching for homes.
