without knowing more about what is going on , it is difficult to give suggestions. You might try giving her beef liver and raw beef kidney in order to provide all the nutrients necessary for red cell production. If her bone marrow is not responding for some reason, ;even this will not help, but it is the best chance at the moment.

thabk you I will try the liver.. should I be prepared for loose stools from this?? The vet told me that she possibly has bone cancer but does not know for sure without a bone marrow test.. he also said her cells were not reproducing and that an average dog would be lathargic from having such a low count. of 18. this is where i get puzzled.. she still gets around.. she doesnt run up and down the stairs like a pup but she gets around.. still nips at her cat(lol) i have noticed an increase in water consumption .. but she isnt actig like she has a kidney infection... she had one maybe 2 yrs ago .. so i would notice the behavior change.. sometimes she does throw up if she eats too fast and im not sure if its an age thing or not.. any help is greatly thanked.. perdees human
