Hi. Aug 2 and Aug 3rd (that I know 100% sure) my Male toy poodle bred my 8lb toy poodle. They were tied for 15-20 minutes both times. Anyways.. She got a tad bigger not much, but I figured maybe because he was so small and she was so big (4lb weight difference) that the pups were small or maybe she was just having 1 or 2. Anyways. Tuesday night, she started wanting to hide and breathing funny (kinda nasal), so I took her to the whelping room, gave her blankets and sat with her for two hrs petting her and loving on her. Her stomach rolled and rolled, sometimes she would flip around, but she wouldn’t get up and come to me.. No contractions. Finally after that she wanted out, my breeder mentor said sometimes they need to go outside, so I tried that she just went off barking and then never acted like that again. The next morning her milk sac was in, 2 nipples, then I checked the next day it was on 6 nipples. I did NOT squeeze, I can tell there is something there above the nipple that was NOT there before and now they hang. - and her private area is like inside out (wide open) - she licks it often.
Thursday her temp was 101.8, I have not took it again. I don’t think she is pregnant, I jut don’t feel any puppies like my breeder friend described, she said I should know im touching one and can tell it’s a paw or a head etc. I just don’t feel that.. My husband said it looks like she got skinnier this week. She is due tomorrow~63 days. I read about fake pregnancies but read they usually clear up 1 mth after the heat cycle. Is that true? Could this be fake? I called my vet and they told me there is nothing I can do about it, just let her go through it.
She did not have them and eat them - there would have been a mess in her crate - there was no mess - ive been checking and I wash her crate blanket everyday. She isn’t outside alone and she don’t wonder off in the house to get in closet (we keep everything shut) - except the closet in the whelping area - incase they demand to hide
Now here is problem 2, I heard some fake pg moms will want to use a toy as her babies, ok that’s fine, but I am picking up a new puppy Sunday he is 8 weeks old and now im worried she will think its her baby and try to get him to suck on her (I don’t know if there is any milk in her nipples) .
Advice? What do I look for? Do fake PG clear up before she would whelp? Could she be having just one puppy? Oh yeah this was my males first mating.
I’m so unsure. I asked my vet if I should bring her in and they told me I could but they said if she is in no distress there isn’t much they can do.. She is fine running around and playing.

I'd get an ultrasound/x-ray done...

Don't let the 8 week old new puppy around this female. There are many many reasons for this, but in her condition she doesn't need a puppy around.

Take this girl to the vet and have her x-rayed. Small litters happen, puppies die in utero, etc.
