I just talked to Joan (IM) and we really need to step up our prayers for Allan and Joan.
Sounds to like the hospital made a big mistake today. He had his dialysis and then they sent him for the wrong surgery procedure!! His heart rhythm is very messed up; Joan said it's a 'fatal' heart rhythm and they need to get a pacemaker or defibulator in quickly. She said the cardio doctors aren't doing anything!
Then today he became allergic to the Heperin they use in the dialysis machine and that has dropped his platlet count. To quote Joan, "Things are a mess."
She was online to research a medication they want to give him and she told me she's familiar with the fact that it's a BAD medication but she couldn't remember the side effects. It might be the only med they can give him though so it was important for her to get to her research.
She thanks everyone for their prayers and asked that they keep coming.
I felt so bad for her......talked to her at 12:30 Ohio time and she had just gotten home from the hospital where she had been since 9:00 a.m.!!
They are such sweet and wonderful people....we all know that. So pray, pray, pray!!
