I am a new proud owner of a JR puppy who was born one week ago. His mother is a JR with a rough coat and his father is a JR Fox Terrier mix with a smooth coat. The woman I got my puppy from says that he will have a smooth coat like his father. Is it possible for her to know so early? Thank you for your responses!
From my understanding the rough coat puppies and the smooth coat puppies do look and feel different at birth. So, this breeder shoudl be able to tell right away what coat textures are in the litter.
