This past weekend Janie and I made a quick trip up north. We went over to Michagin and visisted with Peter ( Jilli's hubby) and Edgar. Then we went over to Aurora, IL to see oldest son and his family then down to Metamora, Il to see youngest son and his.
Peter and Edgar are doing wonderful. He has turned into a real social butterfly. Knows everyone and everyone knows Peter. He took us around and introduced us to a lot of his friend and favorite eating areas. Janie got to put her hand in Lake MIchigan. Peter took us to his church to show us the memorial stained glass window that he and the girls had made. It was beautiful.
It was a quick trip. We left home on Thursday, got to Peters on Fiday. Late Saturday morning we drove over to Aurora, spent the rest of Sat. and Sunday morning with oldest son. Sunday morning we drove down to Metamora to see youngest son. Then left there mid morning Monday and drove home. Boy what a trip. But well worth it.
The link below is some pictures from the trip.

I am so glad Peter is doing well, I think of Jilli often. We made a quick trip this past weekend too. We went to Knoxville for 3 days without hounds for the first time since we've been owned by Greyhounds. We had a greyt time but sure did miss our babies!

Sharon and Mama hound sat for us so we knew they were safe and getting spoiled by Mama, but we missed them. Michelle, Scott's lady, wants us to bring them next time we visit.

Sounds like a wonderful trip. So glad to see the pictures of Peter and Edgar. I think of him often and wonder how he is doing. I enjoyed the pictures of your family too. In fact, I glanced through your entire album and enjoyed the Cherry Hill pictures.

Dogs and cats come into our lives, and too quickly go leaving pawprints on our hearts, and we will never be quite the same again.
