I posted below about how much to feed our ten week old German Shepherd puppy (thanks for the response!) Well, now she is being picky about her food again and it's driving me crazy! It's like she's gotten used to the idea of wet and dry mixed and finds it boring and wants something else. I think she is wanting our food, which she is not and has not gotten, but she still begs like crazy even when she has a bowl of her own food in the kitchen. Sometimes if the cat starts to eat it she'll run in and gobble it down, but otherwise she just picks at it and then walks away. I wondered if she was teething or something because she shows no interest in her puppy biscuits either. Then all of a sudden she'll eat her food fine, only to go back to being picky at the next meal. With the dry this was annoying but not $$ because I could just put what was left back down again. But now that we are mixing the dry with the wet it's getting pricey to keep throwing it away.
In your opinions should I go back to feeding exclusively dry, take a hard nosed approach and say eat it or leave it?? I know that's what her breeder said to do, I just worry about her not getting enough to eat. I also know that now that she's had the wet with the dry the dry alone is not going to go over well.
We have tried putting broth on her food or wetting it down, but she will not eat it. At the breeder's she got dry alone so I don't really understand why she has started pulling this picky stuff.
