I haven't told you how sweet and loving a little girl by the name of Lexi is. For the life of me, I can't understand how someone could give her up after having her in the home for 5 years. As far as I can see, she has no faults. She's quiet, haven't heard her bark since she has been here, not at stray dogs or cats. Yea, she gets on the couch, chair and bed but that's because we let her. She plays with the other kids. Not a shy bone in her body. She is a love bug though and quite a demanding one. One thing she is not and that is an in your face type hound, she's content to just be in the same room with her people. She's smart and comes when called (better than my own does). She has learned to lick peanut butter off of your finger. She learned that after watching the others do it when I give Pansy her heart pill.
She has picked out Vinka's old bed as hers and goes to bed there at night. Then she moves over to get in bed with us. She'll start out next to Janie and then in the morning, she moves over next to me. If Katie decides she wants to go out in the night, which is normal, Lexi will paw my leg to wake me up and then go out with Katie.
Now I will say Miss Katie isn't a happy camper. First Lexi started getting on the couch as well as our bed. Well, Lexi saw Katie getting into the big chair, now she has taken over the chair. It is now her favorite place other than the bed. Now yesterday both Lexi and Katie were both on the couch. It was kinda funny to look at with Lexi roaching and Katie stretched our with her head under Lexie's rear leg. I was just waiting for Lexi's leg to fall on Katie's face. It didn't happen though.
The one thing that she is, is SPECIAL .
