took my Buddy to vet last week, tail between his legs and he didnt seem right, long story short, his right anal gland was very large and full, she expressed him and when we left he was wagging his tail, that was the last of that, still has tail between his legs and is shaking, took him back, she checked it again and said it was fine, did blood work, high calcium level, put him on 2 baby asprin he does better while its working when it wears off he starts to shake again, tail still between his legs, he was going to the bathroom ok, a struggle, he is messy back there had to get a mussle so I can clean him, what would keep his tail to be like that still?

Apparently he has some pain, but where it is located is difficult to say without a physical examination. Speak with your vet again.
