Murphy - P.S.

Kiricki Feb 04, 2009 11:03 PM

One thing I didn't mention. There is a new dog in the group, which is not unusual, because different dogs are coming all the time. However, last week was his first week there, and he was there again today. Both times, staff members said "Buckshot was fine with him". I asked tonight if there seemed to be any problems, at all, between Murphy & Buckshot and they said no, Buckshot is really gentle with the other dogs. Is it possible for there to simply be "bad vibes" between two dogs, for no discernible reason?

Yes absolutely.

Avari does not like any dog taht has bad manners in her mind. If a dog put a paw on her back - deal breaker. If a dog barks at her too close or too much - she is done with said dog. Try to go when buckshot is not there and see what happens

I've had a talk with the people at Day Camp and they are very dedicated to helping work this out. They say if Buckshot comes to camp next Wednesday, they will put him in the larger dog room. Murphy has a standing date for Wednesday's and Buckshot is sort of a walk-in. I get the feeling that if they feel that Buckshot needs the smaller dog room, but makes Murphy uncomfortable, they might even tell Buckshot's parents that he can't come on Wednesdays!
