disappointing day for pogo today.....

pogo_the_dragon Oct 10, 2003 04:23 PM

he ate pretty good yesterday...better than he had the whole 1 /2 weeks I had him...I also feed him in his tank which is a 55L. He usually will eat if I put the crix right in front of his nose and will almost always ignore the ones he might need to hunt for....Anyway the point is I removed him today to put him in a Rubbermaid container I have to feed him since it's the equivelent of a 15 gallon tank but he wouldn't eat but 1 or 2 crix and that's it..I just tried again to feed him in this but he turned up his nose....So should I just continue to feed in his regular enclosure or should I try to force him to eat in the rubbermaid container??? I just figured the rubbermaid container would be easier since it's smaller and he wouldn't have to chase down his food!...Also should the rubbermaid container be heated cuz I didn't heat it before I placed him there...Look forward to replys!!! Going to the H.S. football game in a bit so see you guys later!!!!!!!

My beardie had to get used to going in another enclosure to eat when I first got her. In the beginning, she didn't eat much but this was just because she wasn't used to it. I think the rubbermaid is better since it's smaller and he can catch his food easily. Just keep putting him in there and he'll come around.

As far as lighting, you don't have to keep it warm as long as you put him back in his own cage right after he gets through eating (should take him about 15 minutes to eat).

Sorry it took so long for you to get an answer!
