Strange way of sitting down?

athos76 Feb 28, 2009 11:21 PM

Hello all,
My 1 1/2 yr old Aussie Mix sits like the one on the forum picture. She always sits with both rear legs to one side. Is this normal? The vet said not to worry about it...but I wanted to ask the owners and lovers as well..

Try VERY gently and with a positive voice and touch straightening the dog's sit when she sits like that and you have said "Sit." If this works, which it often does, then this sitting position was probably just a habit. But if she resists, don't push her harder. Have her hips x-rayed.
