OT Two years ago..

Gwensgang Mar 01, 2009 06:15 PM

Two years ago yesterday we had to make the hard, heart breaking decision to let our beloved little special and very rare flop eared, spotted, box faced/short snouted, Norwegian greyhound go join Kianna, Luke, my Mom and all of the pups and cats who went to the bridge before her. Jessie was just 17 days shy of her 14th birthday and had planned to go to her first Mountain Hounds. Jessie was her Dad's little lady and his heart, and he carries a little ball with some of her ashes in it hanging from the mirror of his car. A day doesn't go by that we don't miss you.

Has it been that long? We miss our babies so much when they have to leave us. I was just thinking of my girls last night. Thoughts are with you.

Dogs and cats come into our lives, and too quickly go leaving pawprints on our hearts, and we will never be quite the same again.

Wow, two years. How fast time goes by, and we still feel the hurt in our hearts.

Adopting one greyhound will not change the world, but the world will change for that one greyhound.

Gwen, it doesn't possible that it's been two years. I still blink when I see Jessie in your "waiting at the Bridge list". Hugs to you and Butch.

I can't believe it has been two years. I love the long name you have for her breed. Everytime I see a Dal, I think of her and that spotted greyhound name.
