Beni had a great visit to Cornell today. In fact he has a had a pretty good month(that sound you hear is me knocking wood). I had some moments last month where I thought something might be going on but it turns out there wasn't. Beni continues to amaze not only me but the doctors as well. His ocular pressure reading today was 5 which was very good! Best yet his tear production was 15 in the left eye and 13 in the right eye. This after several months of being in the single digits.
As for his vision... he can still see. His far off vision naturally is much better than his closeup vision but he did surprise me a couple of weeks ago. I had bought a new IQube for the dogs for Christmas and had set the balls on a shelf on the tv stand next to the computer. While I was here one night I was watching Beni and he looked over at the tv stand and took one of the balls off of the shelf... squeaked it a couple of times and then brought to where he would stash his toys. He then repeated the whole process with the other two balls and has actually been having a good time playing with them. When he does lose track of it he searches around until he finds it again. Dr Kern was totally amazed by this and really pleased. He said Beni must be feeling pretty good. I hope it continues!
