my puppy

This is Jezzie. She had been shaved so her fur will probably be longer, like it is on her head. Lots of people have guessed at what she might be. I've heard border collie, australian shepherd, australian cattle dog, english pointer, german shorthaied pointer, beagle, and great pyrenees(spelled that wrong). She was a stray so no one knows for sure what she is, but she is definatly a mix. She is four months old and about 20 pounds. What breed(s) does she look like to you?

a few more...
isn't she cute?

Those long legs look like a pointer to me, but at 4 months old, things can change drastically as she grows up. She's cute and hopefully a good pup. Post pics more as she gets older.

she's a great little puppy. She learns very fast and is very friendly. Here's another one to add to the list of what breeds she could be: the groomer where I work says she's definately got some Newfoundland! She says that because of the dewclaws on the back, the texture of the fur, and the shape of her face. She's a great dog, whatever she is. Someday, when I have the money, I'll get one of those DNA tests to see what breeds she is. Know of any cheap(but accurate) ones?

I don't know the specifics on any of the DNA tests out there. I think most vet clinics have the kits available and just submit the samples to a centralized lab.

I bought a DNA test but I will be about 3 weeks before I get the results. It covers 62 breeds. It didn't have Australian Cattle dog, but it has all the other breeds that I've thought she is.
Now I'm guessing that she is a border collie/ newfoundland mix, probabl other stuff to though, maybe pointer or something. I'll post the results when I get them. Can't wait!
