I adopted a 4 month border collie mix puppy a week ago. She had been found as a stray with mange but it is gone now. I fed her Iams puppy food for the first couple days but she had diarrhea so I got a different brand of puppy food (Natural Life). There's been a small amount of blood in the diarrhea and it hasn't gotten any better. Is this caused by stress or is there be something really wrong? My mom said we'll take her to the vet if it doesn't get any getter in ten days. Are the blood and diarrhea caused by the same thing? Is there anything I can add to her food to help with it?

I suspect she has a parasite, possibly coccidia. Bring her,or at least a stool sample, to a vet. In the meanwhile, stop all dry food and only feed her cheap hamburger for a few days, which should stop the diarrhea.
