This amazes me

I took a picture of the birds flying in that last snow storm we had. It amazes me that they can fly in that.

Wow! What a cool picture! Look how they are all fluffed up trying to keep warm.

Oh wow, Dee....great picture. They sure are enjoying the feeders. I tried a window feeder one year and the squirrels took up residence in it and ate all the seed. LOL I moved it higher up on the window and I thought that they would break the window jumping to the feeder. I finally moved it to a different window and it worked out well.

Yea, the squirrels are a pain for my feeders too. They used to dump the seed from the one feeder until I got a different seed that they didn't like. That's the one the finches are on.

That's interesting about the seed, Dee. I thought that the squirrels would eat anything.

Squirrels like sunflower seeds. They have chewed all my containers in the barn because I mix some in my goat feed so they have nicer coats.
The finch food I had was thistle with chopped up sunflower seed mixed in. The sunflower was what they were after. The bigger feeder has a squirrel guard as the roof so they cannot get to that one but the smaller one they would tip and dump out.
They also will take chunks out of the suet during the winter.
I don't mind sharing but there were too many around here doing too much damage.

I hear what you're saying, Dee. The squirrels can be a pain in the neck. I had to put special wiring on my attic vents at the Cape because the squirrels were going in the attic to have their young. They made a real mess with the insulation I had there as well.
