This is an odd request. Some of you who go to Mountain Hounds have met my oldest grandson Jake. Those of you who have known me *cyberly* know that he has always been a greyhound lover and Luke was his very favorite until he got Chico (his greyhound). Well, his Dad, Greg (my ex SIL) has not been well lately and was finally admitted to the hospital yesterday (after a gall stone diagnosis) wtih tumors on his liver. Jake is already worried and scared because when he was talking with his friends, they told him that his Dad has cancer and is going to die. Ten year old boys are so graphic and love the gory stuff until it involves their own Dad. So, naturally Greg won't tell Kim (daughter) much and only talked to Jake for a minute yesterday. I guess my prayer request not only for Greg, (possibly for him to STOP drinking as well as for the tumors to be benign) but also for Jake. He is quite a sensitive guy and has had so much going on since the holidays .... not to mention that annoying baby brother. 
This picture was always one of Jilli's and my favorites of Jake and Luke....

It's not really an odd request, Gwen; saying prayers for Jake's dad is also saying prayers for Jake. Anyway, prayers being said that the tumors are benign, that he'll stop drinking and that Jake is okay whatever happens.
