A little story

Grhndad Mar 15, 2009 01:54 PM

As we have said before, Miss Lexie is allowed on the bed. A lot of mornings she will get in bed with Janie after I get up. It has now gotten to the point where Janie, when she makes the bed, will put a couple of the pups blankets and a couple of pillows on the bed for Lexie to make a nest out of. That way she doesn't unmake the bed. Now I've said how sweet she is, now she is a cuddler. Friday afternoon I was setting on the couch. Now this is something I very rarely do. The couch is for Janie, Katie and Lexie. Anyway I was sitting there and Miss Lexie got on the couch and snuggled right up against me and laid her head in my lap. She did it both times that I sat on the couch that day.

I reckon we'll find out how good a travelier she is. On the 27th we're talking the kids and going to FL of a little get to gether called Hound Dog Howliday. It's put on by GPA-EC and GPA/LA & MS. This is our first time going. Some of it reminds me of Cherry Hill. A Friday night cook out, Saturday night sit down dinner and then Sunday at Ebro race track with the hounds. Should be fun.

Hary, It sounds like Lexi thinks that she is *home* and that she is loopy over her *Dad*. But no matter... she sounds like a total sweetheart and I hope to be able to meet her at MH. BTW.. why no Sharon this year? I tried to ask *over there* but can't again.

Somehow, since MH is actually a little earlier than usual, one of the guys has already requested the dates off. I think she intends to give me detailed instructions on how to complete her regular "tasks".

Dogs and cats come into our lives, and too quickly go leaving pawprints on our hearts, and we will never be quite the same again.
