Still waiting...

Skaket Apr 01, 2009 01:12 PM

Well, Katie and I are still waiting for a spring day so we can go to the park but so far that hasn't happened. We did spend a little time in the backyard today while I tried to convince myself it was warm enough to do a little work there but it didn't last very long. LOL Anyone experiencing some fairly warm spring temps. please send them East.

We have daffodils blooming, we have mini peach trees blooming. Temps in the 60's almost 70's. Bees buzzing around the dogs snapping at them. AND guess what it is supposed to SNOW Saturday.

Sheesh, Cheryl I was getting very jeaolous until you mentioned the snow. LOL Oh well, the ground is much warmer now and with the sun higher in the sky, the snow won't last very long. Hope that makes you feel better.

A late freeze can be a problem, Cheryl when some of the spring flowers arrive a little early. My friend, Carmella has a few popping up as well. I haven't seen any of mine yet. They may not be getting enough sunshine. We have a nice sunny day today but still on the cool side.

I was away this weekend and was surpirsed that just one state down the forsynthia and other bulb plants where blooming.
I came home more crocuses were up and the bulbs where getting bigger.

Ayla is getting a haircut and just got a bath. I really need a haircut but I'm not sure when I will get it.

It is 66 here right now.

Oh, forgot, had two baby goats born this morning! Now if that isn't spring, nothing is!

I haven't seen any blooming bushes here yet, Dee but we reached 60 today so it won't be long. My friend, Carmella has some flowers popping up so we're making more progress. I can also see some small buds on some of the trees as well. Katie knows that it's getting warmer as well and is wanting to go for more walks. Right now she's standing next to me barking. LOL Hmmmmm, I wonder what she wants to do.

Congrats. on the two baby goats.

I'm sure it will warm up soon, Sally. The April showers have made it on the cool side but they do bring May flowers.....as the saying goes.

ML, I know you won't believe me, but it was so hot in my house last night I could not sleep. I had to put the A/C on just for an hour or so to cool it down enough for us to sleep! Nicky is so hot-blooded, and so am I!! LOL It is already 50 degrees here on its way to 70's!
Wish I could send it your way!

Oh, I believe you, Phyl. We're just having a little colder than usual spring. I'm sure it will warm up a bit very soon.
