Dancer has a home

Ruths4Greys Apr 02, 2009 10:25 AM

Well, it looks like my foster boy Dancer has a new home. A woman who is engaged and has a 7 yr old daughter wants him very much. In fact, she's called here almost every day since last week to see how he is doing. She even came to our house last night to meet him and they fell in love with him. They were supossed to take him on Sat., but after meeting him last night, she really would love to have him today. So maybe sometime this evening, he will be going to his new forever home. Dancer also seemed to like them very much and he wouldn't stay away from the little girl. Looks like they might become very good buddies. I've only had him less than 2 weeks and already he'll be leaving me. This is a good thing though because he still refuses to learn the stairs. I've never had a dog that wouldn't do stairs before. This woman has no stairs at all so he should really love living there. He's a very sweet dog and a love bug, but so stubborn when it comes to those stairs. He's hurt himself about 8 times since we've had him all because he's fallen while leaping down 4 stairs to go outside. So I will actually be glad to see him go to his new home. At least he can't get hurt there.

Woohoo!!! Another grey has a forever home. Ruth, I'm sure you'll miss him a greyt deal, but it's always the best when they go home.

Kira used to leap up and down the stairs. I'm lucky she never hurt herself.

Dogs and cats come into our lives, and too quickly go leaving pawprints on our hearts, and we will never be quite the same again.

That sounds like the perfect place for Dancer! Hope it all works out and he spends many happy years in his new place. Just wish my foster boy Benny could be so lucky....nearly 6 months here now and still no sensible offers.
