Found My Way

Graymare2 Apr 09, 2009 07:55 PM

I didn't realize the aol board was gone and wondered why I couldn't get to it. I'm glad I found you all here but it's going to take me some time to get used to this new format. Any easy tips from those more experienced here on how to post pics?

No tips for pics, but I'm sure someone else will point you in the right direction.

I'm so glad you found your way over here!!

Welcome 'home' Cindy, I'm glad to see you. I don't know much about posting pictures but Harry set things up for me with two pictures I can put in when I want to, but I'm sure Harry, Gwen and several others will be able to explain how to do it.

It's Katie, the Tater Tot (all 43 pounds of her) She's going to be 12 in June and is almost white faced now.

If you upload your pics into Photobucket it is very easy to do and even I can manage it!! You just need to copy the URL next to the 'Direct link' box under the picture in Photobucket and paste it into the box marked Image URL which is below the box where you type your message when you post on here. Well, that's how I do it anyway so maybe that will help you. Glad to see you here Cindy.....do stay and keep us up to date with Colby and Bayou's activities in sunny Florida.

Hi All and welcome to the DogHobbyist! I just wanted to point out that being registered members here qualifies you for a free 10mb photo account here at the DogHobbyist. You can access your account by clicking on the Photos tab at the top of the page, register your account, navigate to the Greyhound section and follow the instructions. It works much the same as Photobucket as far as downloading and posting goes. If you need help or have any questions just ask away! Take a look at the link below for a read through the FAQ.

Also when you are logged in you can click on User Prefs at the top of the message area to kind of tweak how you see the board and how the topics fall. It is also where you can add signatures to your posts. Again any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.

Hey gang,

Max mentioned signatures. If you have a photo in your signature, it needs to be a certain size. This is from our TOS about photos in signatures. If you need a photo made smaller to fit into your signature, I can do that for you.

From TOS:

You may include a small personal or business logo/avatar for use as part of your signature. Logos/avatars may not be placed within the body of a message. Any graphic/image used as part of your signature must be 170x50 pixels or smaller in size - no exceptions. Determining acceptable sizes for odd graphic/image shapes not strictly 170x50 is thus: width x height when multiplied is 8,500 total pixels or less. Example of an acceptable size: 125 x 65 = 8,125 pixels. Example of an unacceptable size: 100 x 90 = 9,000 pixels. A pattern of repeated inclusion of a particular graphic/image within the body of a message may be taken into consideration when determining if it is being used as a personal logo/avatar or not. Business logos/avatars may not include specific items for sale, prices, advertising slogans, or other text within them that is generally commercial in nature.
