I have a few outdoor chameleon cages and I am seeing a few ants inside the cage. The mesh is not very tight so the ants can get in and out easily but what should I do to avoid the ants??
Thanks,
Jason

Put the cages on legs and then set the legs in cups of water. the ants can't cross the water. I've heard red pepper powder will thwart them also if the cages can't be put on legs.

if I'm not mistaken, John - and others - have suggested using a vaseline barrier as well (once it is on legs).

I would use baby powder and put a small quantity around the cage... but the water on legs trick is by far the best that I know of.
If you cant put water under the legs, you could also use Bouny sheets (or any sheet that you use to put in the dryer to make things sofffter and smell good.)
