Introducing myself......

Bluburd May 17, 2009 07:47 AM

Hi! Am new to this board, and my husband and I have numerous of our favorite breed, AAM's - All American Mutts! Most were dumped one place or another, some almost dead, and we took them in. We have 54 acres of land, and it seems other people think that if you have one dog, another won't hurt. NOT!

We live in W. Central Alabama (Roll Tide!), and we also some some cats, two Percheron draft horses, two burros (one was one of those rescued wild burros), and a box turtle I've had for almost 38 years. So, I'll kinda be on other boards, too, discussing whatever.

I also enjoy messing with plants, reading, pen-palling, and love a good horror/weirdy movie! One of these days I'll get around to doing a web site, but don't have one yet.

So, "hi!" to all!

Hi Bluburd! That is quite an eclectic colletion of dogs you have their... not to mention your other animals. You'll have to post a story or two about your dogs... not to mention a little off topic conversation on that 38 year old turtle!

That's quite the photo and group of dogs. Do you have any additional help?

before he retired, I fed all of the critters myself. It's no big deal, actually. Some are fed in pens (they're on weight control!), and the others get free fed with the food in two flat troughs.

They know the routine, and it takes me longer to get the food ready than for them to eat it!

So what kinds of dogs are they... mostly? It looks like there might be an Eskie mix and maybe a Lab... even some puppies. What is the mixed dog in the front next to the white dog.. any idea? Seeing all of those dogs together like this reminds of the Dog WHisperer show! lol
