Bad Dad

Grhndad May 22, 2009 09:10 PM

I did it this afternoon, well, early this evening. After the kids had finished eating they all went out and for a few minutes were going in and out two or three at a time. To be honest I don't know when the last two went out but it was Ghost and Lexie. I got busy cleaning up after them and had to run out to the garage for a minute. When I came in there was a phone call for me so I spent about 15 minutes on the phone with a kennel owner that we are picking up a dog from tomorrow. I then call another lady that we are delivering another dog to and then Lesley our transition kennel operator. All in all I spent about 30 - 45 minutes on the phone.

Well I went to go out in the back yard and when I opened the door there were two pups waiting to come in. Don't know how long they were out maybe 45 min. to an hour. Anyway Miss Lexie came in and got up on the chair getting ready to take a nap when I loked over at her. One side was covered with MUD. It appears she got tired of waiting for me to let them in and she laid down in the mud. Not on the grass that was just wet but MUD. I ended up giving her a half bath in the kitchen. I think I got it all off. Hope I did because right now she is on our bed. She has pulled the top sheet, spread and pillows down and is now sleeping on the bottom sheet on Janie's side. I guess we'll know at bed time.

Well now, you should know by now that hounds will take advantage of any opportunity to get into mischief, Harry.

Oh my goodness, Harry! You left them out side for almost an hour? The horrors, one would think that they are being treated like normal dogs instead of the royalty that they are! (LOL)

Dogs and cats come into our lives, and too quickly go leaving pawprints on our hearts, and we will never be quite the same again.

Lana would love to be forgotten outside, unless it's raining. Markie would be the concern of my pack as he doesn't bark and he spooks so easily, even after 3 years. Brook does usually go out with him and she will let me know if she thinksthey have been out too long.
