Doxie neck spasms

mwold May 27, 2009 04:40 PM

We have an appt tomorrow to see a dog chiropractor.. I'll post the outcome, if I can remember. Our dog is 10 and so far has been disc problem free. A fight with a opossum in back yard may have started the problem a couple months ago. Her neck went into a spasm pulling to the left and causing severe pain. Saw a Vet already and have her on muscle relaxer, pain med and anti-inflamatory med. Two days so far.. We'll see tomorrow.

Hopefully things are fine at this point. Oh it's tough when they aren't 100%.

The chiropractor found the spot.. Did she ever!! We aren't fine yet. Poor little girl is not herself and we're not used to this side. Won't do any big business now for 2 days.. Likes applesauce.. Got the meds down with the help of crushing them in peanut butter. Pretty much letting her sleep in an enclosed area with just a little bed and food and water. When the spasms have occurred, then she pees. Wants to go out for a walk, but gets too nervous once a ways from the house. Have another appt scheduled for chiro next week. Hurt herself in the night and had another spasm.
