Dog Town

DnDShihTzu May 30, 2009 10:31 AM

Does anyone watch this show? There was the cutest little Shih Tzu on there they rescued from a puppy mill, despite his foot injury and matting he was just the sweetest little thing ever.
I was crying when I saw his poor little feet. It turned out good in the end though.

I watch Dog Town on a regular basis. Sometimes with one eye shut when they have the very sad stories on. But they do so many great saves, it is worth the watch. Lots of happy endings and they have a forever home with them if they don't find homes outside Dog Town.

Gary, I was just going to ask the same question since I haven't seen it either. It sounds like a show I would love to watch.

I just did a search for Dog Town. Apparently it's the largest non kill shelter in the US. The program is on the National Geographic Channel. I'm not sure I get that channel. I'll have to check and see. If you do a search, there are quite a few links about Dog Town.

Can't watch it. Comcast in its infinite wisdom took our National Geographic channel away. God Bless them I love them so much. NOT!!! They are nothing but a money hungry rip off artist. Keep takng our channels away and increasing the bill. A Pox on them.

Gary we have Direct TV and only because of this going digital thing, we went for over a year with 4 stations provided with a regular antenae on the roof. Personally I think Americans watch too much TV, I would much rather interact with my dogs or play a board or card game with my husband or friends, take a walk etc. I guess my point was we researched which gave you the most bang for your buck and we got more channels for about the same amount of money perhaps even a few dollars less with Direct TV.

Denice,

If it were up to me we probably wouldn't have a TV. I can't stand the retarded so called comedys and commercials that rule the channels. I watch mostly the History and Animal Planet and NASCAR. Other than that I don't watch much TV. I liked the National Geographic channel when we had it.

I like the History and Animal Planet channels as well, Gary. I also like some of the programs on MSNBC for news.

We watch Discovery alot. We also have a Science channel, I love PBS, Animal Planet, and of course watching dog shows when I can, sometimes they are on USA channel.

Did I tell you guys that Amy qualified for Eukanuba Cup. Now to be on TV I actually have to win the breed which is going to be really hard to do, but I'll give it my best shot. This will be my first trip to California.

I hear what you're saying, Denice. I rarely have mine on during the day but put it on for the news and some programs I like to watch at night.

I thought it was on the National Geographic Channel right after the Doh Whisperer, which I saw late at night.

Phyl, I've come to the conclusion that mine doesn't carry it either. At least I can't fine it.
