The cut on my back that's......

Bluburd Jun 02, 2009 04:05 AM

giving me all of this gawd awful pain! It's shooting right down my right leg, and I haven't slept one bit all night. They sure didn't tell me about getting this type of pain, and the pills have not helped very much. They take the edge off, but that's about it.

AAAUUUUGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That looks like it's painful! I don't know much about back surgery but it has to be very uncomfortable. Hopefully the hurting is a part of the healing process.

gain" is how the saying goes. The pain is caused by the nerves rejuvenating themselves. Just like the itching is part of the healing process.

I had a big surgery this time, so it's gonna take longer for the whole thing to completely heal, like about a year and a few months.

Still, I'll be good to go in a couple of months, but those months are sure gonna go slow!

looks like they used staples to close it, they used disolvable stitches on mine. took about a year and a half for those things to finally "disolve"

they were removed last Thursday. No big deal. Brought 'em home to show my mom, and she was just amazed. She had never seen staples put in anyone - usually stitches are used.

Well you might be right there as far as the saying goes but that does look sore! I would have to agree about the nerve endings knitting themselves back together. At any rate I hope you do get a little bit of relief from the pain... if only to sleep.

I figure that every day past is one of healing, and it's just gonna take time. Been down this road before, but I've never had to deal with nerve healing. It sure is a lot worse than just having a plain back operation!

I will survive, however! LOL!
