Yea, Ken came to my rescue the past week. When we were in FL in March, Miss Bea jumped our baby gate not 5 minutes after we arrived in our room. She only got to the parking lot and when I called her she stopped then ran and jumped into the van. Other than almost giving Janie and I a heart attack everything ended up OK. After we got home we went out and bought a new gate only we got a tall one with a walk thu door. It also had 2 extensions for a large opening.
I checked the gate out and not using my brain didn't take an extension to Gatlinburg. When we got there and I tried to set the gate up, it was too narrow for the room door. Well, Ken came down and I thought if I could find some 2 x4s I could make it fit. Then I really looked at it and if I made it fit the door opening then the door handle would hit the gate and the door wouldn't close.
Ken then looked at the door configuration on my door and then the one on his and thought it may fit his door. He went and got 4 2 x4s and we set the gate up to his door and it worked. So we switched gates. I use his and he used mine.
When we made our reservations for next year we requested a room in the same building as Ken was in. I have also stowed the gate with the proper extension so I shouldn't have a problem next year.
