I talked to my boss on Monday. He told me Jenny,a newer tech, 25 years old, from the hospital's lab was in a really bad car accident. Trying to always find the positive I said: "I hope things will be ok for her". His response was: "They are looking into organ donation..." Jenny was declared brain dead on Monday and officially expired yesterday. Please,if you can say a little prayer for her but mostly for her family. In their loss, they did a great thing.

I didn't really know Jenny but this has really affected the entire lab. She always had a smile for everyone, even a stranger, someone she only saw in passing in the hall, like me.

What a terrible thing to happen to one so young. Maybe though it will be a consolation to her family and friends at least, to know that even in death she gave life and health to others and will live on in those her organs helped..

Oh Nancy,
How sad that someone like that died. I know that When Butch's sister (she was my best friend and the one who introduced Butch and I.. her dream was to see us together) was killed in an auto accident at the age of 19, my thought was that she was such a special and such a good person that God had sent for to us for a short time and was taking his "angel" back *home*. I think that this is the case with Jenny. Prayers going out to her family. I know how hard and how heartbreaking it is to lose someone at such a young age in a senseless accident.

Oh Nancy.. that is so tragic!!! She's so young!!! Prayers going out to Jenny and to her family. This is just so very sad.
