NIKITA'S STORY

It literally was a hot August day/night. On Sunday nights I usually went to an acquaintance (thought she was a friend, but I was wrong) to watch Le Femme Nikita. I have the gift (curse?) of having ESP, mental telepathy, etc. Well that particular afternoon I got that feeling to GO NOW!, and so I went. I don't argue with the Head Trainer.

About a mile from my home, there in the middle of the road was a five-week old puppy that someone had purposely dumped knowing that it would die a slow death. The temp was damn near 94, and I can just imagine was it was on the pavement.

I stopped and pick the poor little pup up, and she could barely move. And since she was a female, and apparently a tough one at that, I named her Nikita.

Got to Val's house, and gave her some water. That's what she needed the most, and came alive after drinking some. Val only had cat food, and Nikita ate a little of it, but not much. At that time Val had an ass living with her of the male kind, even tho' he was a $hit, he played with her the whole time we watched the show. What a difference a little water made!

Here's a photo I took the next day of her - August 7, 2000 at 8 pm.....

but she looks just the same today!

God help the s.o.b. if I had caught him/her dumping her. That's a felony here in AL. I keep all kind of camera in my SUV just to take photos such as those, but ya gotta catch them in the act.

Needless to say, Nikita has a wonderful home, and yes, when I hear the "GO NOW!", I go.

Gotta another "GO NOW!" story regarding a Dal, but that'll have to wait!
