She's growing up

Rouen Jun 22, 2009 03:10 PM

Dasy's going to be 6 months old next month. She graduated from her KPT class last Monday and starts her KPT graduates class tonight. Most of her pup pals are going on to the next class except her play mate, a yellow lab.
This was her 3 days after she came home from the shelter at 12-13 weeks

This was her a few days ago, you can see how much she's grown.

Her nose is partially dudley, I'm not sure if it will ever fully change. I think she looks like a miniature redbone coonhound, not a beagle/cockapoo mix.

Well no matter what her heritage is... she is beautiful! You can really see how she has changed while growing up.

Is this a new puppy? The head looks a lot like a Dachshund to me, but just the head. Cute.

she's "new" she came home in April, I'm guessing she was born in early February.
she did well in her class last night, we're going cookieless from now on except for recalls, they still get treats for coming.

And drat! They grown up so fast, don't they?

I wish this one would, seems she's going to be quite small, I was hoping she'd at least hit 40lbs, but it seems she'll turn out to about 30lbs, must be my fate to have small dogs.

were gonna have a small dog.

We were on our way to east, and saw this tiny, approx. two-mo. old hairless pup heading down the road to our place. We knew he had been dumped, so we picked him up and put him in the camper of the truck. The weather was cool, so we weren't worried about him getting overheated during the short time we'd be eating. Chuck loved the potatoes served at this place, so he named the pup Tater right then and there.

Tater was very small - small everything. Little bod, little paws, little tail. So we figured he was gonna be a small dog. Man, were we eve wrong! As time went by, Tater kept growing, and growing, and kept growing. By the time he was full grown, he was the size of a Great Dane, and weighed damn near 70 lbs.!

LOL...The moral of the story is: never judge the size of a dawg by its paws, body, or tail! I've got photos of him when he was small and an adult, but will have to dig them up. Will let you know when I find them......

if she were that young I'd still be hopeful that she'd get bigger but she's really only got about 3 months left to really grow and she's not even gaining 5 lbs per month.

your small package won't turn into a Godzilla!! HAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!
What's the name of your almost grown pup?

Rouen Jun 25, 2009 08:09 PM

Dasy, she needed an Australian name to go with Dingo, so she's named after Dasyurids.
