Two years ago I saw a picture of a white & red parti 7 year old girl who was up for adoption. The write up said that she was cat safe, but when I talked to Donna (friend and adoption rep) she said that she wasn't sure about just how cat safe she was since the dog had apparently gone after one of the foster Mom's cats. She suggested a dog that she was fostering at that time who she assured me was a total sweetheart. Well, it seems that girl had a family interested in her and was considered very *adoptable*, however, there was a little black girl that was very shy, very scared .. spooky. It was *suggested* that I consider this little cutie ~ little "Beauty". I talked this over with Butch , surprisingly he agreed and this little girl traveled across the state to Donna who brought her to me. The bond between us was immediate. There was never any fear of me, just situations, and this has improved so much the last two years... this little girl was *home*.
Today we celebrated two years with the most adorable little black girl.. Happy Gotcha Day Kylie, we love you baby.
Right now Kylie is snuggling with her Dad on the sofa. So many tiny baby steps have led to such a happy little girl and a totally smitten Mom and Dad.
