Yep, at long last into the 21st century. Things are much faster
than dial up but it has been a hassle getting everything going. If I were on the computer any more than I already am I would just have to sleep in my chair which I have been known to do.

Hey I have been know to dose off a time or two myself while sitting at the computer! LOL They say confession is good for the soul

Love NASCAR when Tony Stewart is winning. I got a COMCAST cable bundle with my phone, cable and internet combined. Now Eloise can talk on the phone all she wants.

What's the difference between DSL and Cable? Is one any better than the other?

I'm still in the dark ages, Dee. I was thinking very seriouly of changing and then this mini hurricane came through and I had no power at all for two days. Hopefully, when things calm down and they finish cleaning up, I'll get around to it. I was lucky with very little damage but my neighbor. Benji's mom, had a huge tree uprooted and fall. Fortunately, it didn't fall on the house but it's taking up mmuch of her yard.

Glad you had no damage but being without electric for 2 days is bad.

I wish now I had changed to broadband a lot sooner. It is so much faster, you would not believe. Go for it, you will like it.

Well, my friend, Carmella and her neighbor across the road from her are still without power. They think that they might have to replace the transformer so it looks like they won't have power until at least Monday or Tuesday. My area was not hit as badly as other surrounding towns so they're trying to work in all areas at the same time...which slows them down a bit.

Wow, Mary Lou! I heard there were bad storms up your way, but didn't know they had hit so close to you. I am glad no one was hurt by that tree. It was probably a good thing you had that one cut down by your house recently! Being without power is so depressing to me; night time especially. I hate that...

I will, Gary as soon as things get back to normal around here. As I mentioned before there are still two homes near me that are without power and there could be others that I don't know about. I guess the workers are being spread rather thin working in so many areas at the same time.

I'll try to keep it under one gig. Don't want a speeding ticket in cyber space.

I figured it was about time as I am getting slower and need everything else as fast as I can get it. Also got a new faster computer while I was at it. Now Eloise can talk to all her relatives all over the country and we won't have to pay long distance charges. Got to keep her happy.

Wow, Gary you're really going high tech. I though I was going to have to get a new computer after our power outage. I couldn't get my computer to work at first for some reason. It finally got going but I worry about the next time I turn it on. LOL

I was having problems with my old computer and didn't know how much longer it would hold out. This will most likely be the last computer I will buy.

ML, do you keep your on all the time, like I do? The only time I shut mine down is when I hear we are going to have a storm. They say we should shut it down each time we are not going to be on it for any length of time. It saves on energy.

Yes, I do, Phyl and I really shouldn't. I will shut it down if I hear that there is a bad storm coming.
